Bad Day on I-5
First, a tanker truck flipped over Northbound in the Duwamish Curve (near Tukwilla) at 5 am. Lanes began to reopen around 9:15. This of course backed up all Northbound routes: 167/Valley Freeway; I-405, SR-599 (which all traffic was diverted to), etc. Since I was coming from the South end, I came across SR18 and then SR202 to Redmond.
Next, another semi flipped over near Tumwater, also closing North I-5. The detour here involved taking SR 507 to SR 7 to Tacoma.
Not a good day to be going North…
