Cities May Secede From Pierce Transit

If Pierce Transit is forced to cut service due to the recession, cities that will not be served are threatening to secede from the pact that set up and funds the agency. This would be a bad idea as no one city alone, outside of a large one such as Tacoma or Seattle, can run their own service.
A better solution would be for the cities to come together and find ways to streamline service and cover costs.
