Electronic Carpool Matching Program

This program allows you to install an app on your cell phone that then will dynamically match you with other carpoolers – as you drive. It is being tested on the SR 520 floating bridge as tolling begins shortly. For now you can gain points towards a gas card.

Even without the financial benefit this is a great idea. It can be hard to set up a daily carpool when people have different schedules. On the other side, you can’t normally set up a carpool in a second. I have heard that a similar, more manual method has been tried on other toll bridges on the West Coast..
