Patch for Ferry Budget Shortfall

An infusion of gas tax and other funds will be used to make up budget shortfalls in the state ferry system, until new sources of funding and cost savings can be found.
I know it is quite popular right now to bash the ferry system, especially due to many errors found, but at some point NOTHING is self-sustaining. There isn’t a service, public or private, that isn’t subsidized at some level.
Let’s hope we can work the ferry system’s problems out so that the subsidies can be lessened.
