Two Options Ruled Out for Point Defiance Bypass

Options to widen the current rail route or build a new rail route have been ruled out for expanding high speed passenger rail service in the South Sound. It looks like the only option will be to continue with the planned Point Defiance Bypass project.
Given the ridership growth on the Amtrak Cascades and the potential to extend the Sounder down this line, we need to move ahead with this project.
