First Day’s Commute With The Viaduct Shut Down Goes Well

The first day’s commute with the Alaskan Way Viaduct shut down went fairly well. The West Seattle Water Taxi was at full capacity and some extra volumes were seen on I-5, but otherwise things went very well.
The viaduct itself is coming down rapidly. Almost all of the upper deck of the area in question has been torn down.
Let’s hope this continues the rest of the week.
