520 Bridge Probably Will Be Assembled in Kenmore

An abandoned industrial site in Kenmore, at the head of Lake Washington, may be used to prefabricate anchors and deck sections for the new SR 520 Floating Bridge. This would save from having to ship the parts up from the Port of Tacoma or Olympia.
However the site is controversial as it was planned to be redeveloped. However, given the economy and the need for this bridge, this looks like a very good temporary use.
