A Ballard Light Rail Line?

A campaign has begun to add a light rail spur from the future Brooklyn station on the North Link extension to Ballard. The line would involve both a bored tunnel and a cut and cover tunnel.
Ballard and that whole side of Seattle West of Interstate 5 will not be serviced in any current Sound Transit plans. It would be great if this extension could be passed. However, there are questions about the cost and how it would connect to the current line.
It looks like Seattle’s mayor is for it...
