Seattle Waterfront Streetcars Stuck At A Dead End

From The Seattle Times:

Since 2005 Seattle’s waterfront streetcars have been stuck in a warehouse. They were shut down by the opening of the Olympic Sculpture Park, which tore out their old maintenance base. While a new one was planned, it was never built.

This is a bad thing. I recently had to go from the waterfront back to the light rail station in the International District. Without the trolley I had to wait 15 minutes for a bus. Plus the trolley added to making the waterfront “cool”

It can only be hoped that they can be saved and reopened, or at least ran on one of the new trolley lines at some point.
